Driver portraits and helmet illustrations across the 123Helmets catalog (Phase 4 banner system) are derived from photographs and illustrations available on Wikimedia Commons under Creative Commons licenses, plus one image released under the UK Open Government Licence v3.0. Each derivative is itself shared under the matching parent license.
License compatibility : all 46 sources are commercial-use compatible. Most derivatives carry
CC BY-SA 4.0 (ShareAlike). One image is released under OGL 3 — « Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0 — Photo: Number 10 / Lauren ». Originals are linked via Wikimedia Commons file pages — see commons.wikimedia.org.

Editorial & blog images
Images on our news and editorial articles (the /f1-news/ and grand-prix recaps) come from three sources only, each credited where it appears:
1. Our own photography. Most article heroes are 123Helmets’ own photographs of the full-size 1:1 replica helmets we make for display and collection.
2. Drivers’ and teams’ own social posts. Where an article covers a helmet or livery a driver or team has revealed themselves, we may use their own public social-media image, credited inline on the article (e.g. Photo: @scuderiaferrari).
3. Royalty-free images. Otherwise we use freely-licensed images from Wikimedia Commons under Creative Commons / public-domain licences, with the author and licence credited inline on the article (e.g. Photo: Jen Ross / Wikimedia Commons (CC BY 2.0)).
We do not use press-agency photography on the site. If you believe an image has been used in error or wish to discuss a credit, contact us at hello@123helmets.com and we will review it promptly.
Last updated 2026-06-27 (added Mika Salo, Emerson Fittipaldi, Jacques Villeneuve, Lotus, Benetton; portrait IDs restored). Original Phase 4 V3 C5 deploy 2026-04-28. 46 entries: 17 active F1 drivers · 14 historical legends · 15 catalog team taxonomies. Each entry is processed through a duotone color pipeline applying the team’s signature livery color, then rendered as the hero portrait on the corresponding /product-category/ archive page across all 7 site languages (EN, FR, DE, IT, ES, PT-PT, AR).
