Display Guide

Display your helmet like a collector

Your 1:1 replica is a display object — no track, no road. Treat it like any premium collectible: stable base, gentle cleaning, indirect light. The habits below keep the livery crisp and the visor scratch-free for years.

Stand vs wall mount

The two serious options. Pick based on the room — not the helmet.

Premium stand

Best when the helmet is at eye level on a shelf, desk or in a cabinet. Rotates on demand. Weighted base prevents accidental tip-over. Works with every full-size replica.

Wall mount

Saves desk real estate. Plan the position before drilling — eye level is roughly 160 cm from floor. Check that the mount is rated for at least 2 kg and that the helmet clears any opening door.

Cleaning — four-step routine

Do this once a month and the shell stays showroom-fresh. Never use solvents, alcohol wipes or rough cloth — they dull graphics and scratch the visor.

1
Dust off

Soft microfiber, dry. Removes surface dust before any contact with liquid.

2
Damp wipe

Lukewarm water only on the cloth — not on the shell. Light circular motion, no pressure on graphics.

3
Visor care

Dedicated visor cleaner or pure water. Never paper towel — it micro-scratches the coating.

4
Dry & store

Air-dry 10 min. Back on the stand, away from direct sun. Never store damp.

Storage — room conditions that matter

Heat, UV and humidity are the three enemies of a painted shell. The rules are simple, the habits make the difference.

Indirect light

Direct sunlight fades graphics within months. A shelf facing the window = no, a shelf on the side wall = yes.

Stable humidity

Normal living-room RH (40-60 %) is fine. Bathrooms, garages, basements are not.

Room temperature

18-24 °C year-round. Attics and unheated rooms crack paint over time — same logic as guitars or watches.

Breathing room

5 cm clearance on each side. A helmet pressed against a wall transfers moisture and risks visor contact marks.

If you collect multiple helmets

The setup scales differently past three units. A row of identical stands on one shelf reads like a museum — mixed stands and random heights read like clutter.

Same stand, same spacing

Pick one stand model and buy duplicates. Spacing equal to half a helmet width makes every piece breathe. This one choice does 80 % of the visual impact.

Theme the shelf

Group by era, by team or by driver. Mixing a 1992 McLaren with a 2025 Ferrari works only if the intent is obvious — otherwise split by shelf.

Reminders before you move a helmet

Lift with two handsOne under the chin bar, one at the top. Never carry by the visor or the spoiler.
Clean hands or cotton glovesSkin oils transfer to paint and matte finishes. Gloves are cheap.
Let it acclimate after shipping24 h in the room before unboxing if it arrived from cold storage. Avoids condensation inside the shell.

Quick FAQ

Can I ride or race with a display replica?

No. Our helmets are display / collector objects — not certified for protective use. They are built for visual accuracy, not impact.

Does the visor open?

On most models, yes — for display. Treat the mechanism gently; it's not designed for hundreds of cycles.

Will the paint fade?

Not under normal indoor conditions. Keep it away from direct sun and the livery stays as received.

Where do I find the right stand?

Any F1-sized display stand fits a full-size 1:1 replica. We recommend weighted bases rated for 2 kg or more.

Display / collector replica. Not certified for protective use. These helmets are built for visual accuracy and display only — no homologation, no protective purpose.
