Collector Sizing Guide
Find your 1:1 size
Every 123Helmets piece is a full-size 1:1 display replica of the helmets worn by real F1 drivers — same proportions, same volume, same visual weight on your shelf. This guide helps you pick the size that matches your head circumference so the proportions feel right in your hand and in your display.
These are display and collector replicas. Not certified for protective use. No safety, racing or road application.
How to measure your head
Use a soft measuring tape. If you don't have one, wrap a string around your head, mark it, then measure against a ruler.
1
Position
1 cm above your eyebrows, above your ears
2
Wrap
Tape level all the way around your head
3
Record
Note the measurement in cm (or inches)

Size table
Match your head circumference to find your recommended replica size.
| Head circumference (cm) | Head circumference (in) | Recommended size |
|---|---|---|
| 54–56 cm | 21.26 – 22.05 in | S |
| 57–58 cm | 22.44 – 22.83 in | M |
| 59–60 cm | 23.23 – 23.62 in | L |
| 61–62 cm | 24.02 – 24.41 in | XL |
| 63–64 cm | 24.80 – 25.20 in | XXL |
Our replicas follow adult European sizing. All helmets ship at the same external visual proportions — size reflects internal cavity only.
Between two sizes?
Borderline measurements are common. Here's how to decide:
Display-first
If the helmet is primarily for shelf, desk or cabinet display, pick the larger size for stronger visual presence and more livery surface area.
Handling & rotation
If you'll occasionally pick it up, rotate it, or wear it briefly for photos, go one size down — a snugger fit handles better.
Size & your display context
Full-size 1:1 replicas need proper shelf depth — minimum 28 cm clearance is recommended for a clean profile. If you plan to display several helmets side by side, count ~35 cm between centers for breathing room.
See our Display Guide for lighting, cabinet choices, stand options, and long-term care. For a direct visual feel of the dimensions, check the Size & Scale page.
Size questions
What if my measurement falls exactly on the boundary?
The ranges include both endpoints. If you measure exactly 58 cm, M is the cleanest fit. Only go XL if the helmet will be worn or handled often — display-only should stay at the matching size.
Do the external dimensions change with size?
No. All our 1:1 replicas share the same outer shell silhouette. Size refers to the internal cavity — the external "look and scale" on your shelf is identical across S, M, L, XL and XXL.
Can I try it on?
The helmet is a display replica, not certified for protective use — no track days, no road use, no racing. You can place it on briefly for photography with care, but the finish is optimized for display, not wear.
Is there a youth or child size?
Not currently. Our full-size 1:1 replicas are designed for adult head sizes (54 cm and up). Reach out via contact if you need guidance on a specific collector use case.
Do different drivers' helmets run the same size?
Yes. The shell is standardized across our catalogue — a Verstappen XL and a Hamilton XL match dimensionally. Only the livery, graphics and finish change between models.
