Fernando Alonso 2026 Mexico City GP F1 replica helmet

The Fernando Alonso 2026 Mexico City GP F1 replica helmet is a full-size 1:1 display and collector replica of Fernando Alonso’s special helmet for the 2026 Mexico City Grand Prix, revealed by Aston Martin on 28 October 2026. The team posted four photos of it together with its partner Pepperstone (@pepperstone_global), under a caption that gives the occasion: “Strengthening our partnership with @pepperstone_global. An expanded presence across the team, with Fernando also becoming a Pepperstone global ambassador from 2027. To mark the occasion, he will race with a special helmet in Mexico City this weekend.”

On 29 October 2026, the team added a closer look at the helmet, with four new photos and a caption saying the design is “inspired by his racing roots and legacy”. Aston Martin names no designer and gives no meaning for the skull, the colours or the patterns, and Alonso had not commented on the helmet when this page was written. This page therefore describes what the photos show, and nothing more.

The blue and the yellow share the shell. The base is blue in several shades, from a deep navy on the top to a lighter sky blue on the side panels, crossed by light-blue stripes; a large yellow band wraps the back and the rear of both sides.

That yellow band is not a flat colour. It is filled with a tone-on-tone pattern of diamonds, squares and triangles, which reads as a texture rather than as a second colour. Where the yellow meets the blue, the paint catches the light in the photos with an iridescent, rainbow-like sheen — one of the most striking details of the reveal.

Geometric patterns cover the blue areas too: small squares, diamonds and triangles spread over the shell, and rows of triangles outlined in yellow and light blue run along the stripes. The same three shapes — square, diamond, triangle — return in the blue and in the yellow, tying the two parts of the design together.

The back is the centrepiece. In the middle of the yellow band sits a large decorated skull in light and dark blue, with yellow and white details, carrying the Pepperstone “P” badge on its forehead. The pepperstone wordmark appears twice more next to it, cognizant sits above it, and lower down come the Aston Martin wings with aramco and “FORMULA ONE TEAM”. A Bell Helmets logo is at the back as well. Low on both sides of the back, next to the Bell Helmets logos, a yellow cross with the letters alpha and omega — the Victory Cross from the flag of Asturias, his home region — sits beside a small ALONSO signature logo.

On the top, towards the back, his number 14 is painted in yellow, with EMCJET under it. Pepperstone is painted large: the “P” badge and the pepperstone wordmark sit large on the yellow on both sides, and appear again on the chin and at the back.

At the front, aramco runs across the top, with a Honda logo above it. The visor strip reads “ASTON MARTIN”, with GLENFIDDICH and ELEMIS on each side and OAKLEY at the ends. On the chin, a B&O logo sits on the vent, next to MAADEN and pepperstone, with Cetilar, Flexicar, CoreWeave and cognizant on the lower sides. The visor in the photos is dark, with blue anodised visor pivots and side hardware; on the replica, visor options are chosen in the configurator on this page.

On the sides, Valvoline and finetwork sit above the visor pivot, Sunreef Yachts is placed on a light-blue stripe, and Flexicar, cognizant, CoreWeave and Cetilar line the lower part, with a Bell Helmets logo on each side. The logos are laid out around the yellow band and the patterns, so that in profile the large “P” badge and pepperstone wordmark on the yellow are the first thing the eye meets.

The images are Aston Martin’s photos of Fernando Alonso’s own helmet — the original racing helmet, shown here for reference. The first four, taken outdoors against a blurred landscape, show a three-quarter view of the left side; the back, with the decorated skull; a three-quarter view of the right side; and the front, with the visor closed. The four closer photos the team added on 29 October show the same helmet from the left side, the back, the right side and the front.

As a full-size 1:1 replica, this helmet is a display and collection object — a shelf, cabinet or desk centrepiece for an Alonso or Aston Martin collection, and a keepsake of the 2026 Mexico City Grand Prix. Its interest is entirely visual: the shades of blue, the yellow band and its tone-on-tone pattern, the geometric patterns, the decorated skull at the back, the number 14, its proportions and its display presence.

For collectors, a helmet made for a partnership occasion is a different kind of special from a season livery: the occasion is part of the design, down to the Pepperstone badge on the skull’s forehead. Aston Martin presents it as a special helmet for this weekend in Mexico City and does not say whether it will appear again, so the Mexico City weekend is the only one announced for it so far.

For display, the blue and yellow work well against a neutral or dark background, with a soft light from the side to bring out the tone-on-tone pattern in the yellow. Turned three-quarters from the back, the helmet shows the decorated skull and one of its large Pepperstone sides at once; turned three-quarters from the front, the visor, the blue patterns and the yellow band.

The Mexico City Grand Prix is round 19 of the 2026 season, at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City, with the race on Sunday 1 November 2026. Shortly before the helmet post, on the same day, Aston Martin greeted the event with another caption: “Mexico City, we’re back. Altitude, atmosphere and one of the loudest crowds on the calendar.” Fernando Alonso, the Spanish driver, is in his 23rd Formula 1 season, racing with the number 14 for Aston Martin. The replica reproduces the livery and design shown in the official photos, at real size; visor and interior options are chosen on this page before ordering, with the same configurator as the rest of the catalogue.

This design is offered as a pre-order. Because it is a just-revealed helmet, the photographs show the original racing helmet for reference; your replica is produced to reproduce that livery and design, and is made to order following your purchase.

Common questions

Our helmets share the external dimensions of the original race helmet (~30 cm tall). A 1:4 mini replica is roughly 10 cm. The difference is visceral on display — three times the height, and a very different object to live with.
