Lando Norris 2026 US GP Austin F1 replica helmet
The Lando Norris 2026 US GP Austin F1 replica helmet is a full-size 1:1 display and collector replica of Lando Norris’s special helmet for the 2026 United States Grand Prix in Austin. It appeared on Instagram on 22 October 2026, in a video posted with Google Gemini under a short caption: “my special lid for austin. designed with the team, visualised w/ @googlegemini”.
His LN4 brand account shared it the same day, with Lando “pulling up to Austin with something new, shiny, and with rainbow blobs”. The line sums up the design well: a new helmet for this weekend, a surface that shines, and Norris’s blobs back again, this time with rainbow reflections.
The shell is silver with an iridescent, holographic finish: the surface throws rainbow reflections, green, pink, blue and gold, that change with the light. Flowing, liquid-looking blob swirls in the same iridescent silver cover the whole shell — tone on tone, so the design plays on shapes and reflections rather than on contrasting colours.
A gold number 1 sits on the crown. Norris is the 2025 world champion and carries the number 1 in 2026; on this helmet, the gold figure stands out against the silver around it.
“Google Gemini” is written on the clear aero piece on top of the helmet, and a large Gemini four-point star in a rainbow gradient sits on the side. It is the detail that ties the helmet to the way it was designed.
The video shows how the design came together. It opens on a design session in a studio with designer Kaylum Robinson and creative director Ashley Bibby — “Alright, guys, we got Gemini helmet coming up” — for the Austin race. The starting point is a black-and-white blob pattern on white. Finishes are compared, fluro, orange, blue and green, until a rainbow foil comes up: “That’s the one.”
Before any paint goes on, the idea is previewed with the Gemini app on a phone — “let’s test it with Gemini before we paint” — by applying that foil texture to the white background and the black pattern. The reaction in the studio: “That’s gonna be mega. In the sun. The reflections.” Then comes the call: “We’re gonna go gloss.” After that, Jens Munser Designs (@jmd_helmets) paints and masks the helmet by hand. The Gemini picture was only a preview; the finished helmet is the one in the photos. As the video puts it: “We came up with this design together, and this is how it turned out.”
The partner layout is the McLaren set with his own partners. OKX sits in black on the forehead, and a black Monster Energy band with the green claw logos runs over the top. On the visor strip, Jack Daniel’s is in the centre, with Mastercard on each side and Dropbox at the ends. The chin carries the Android wordmark with the Android robot head, Race Against Dementia, LANDO.STORE, Etihad on both sides, and the LN Kart and Quadrant logos. The visor is a pink-purple mirror, all on the Bell shell seen in the photos, with Bell marks on the visor pivots.
The photos show the finished helmet in five shots: from the front on a stand, from the side with the Gemini star, three-quarters from the rear on a wooden table, in Lando’s hands on the cover of his video, and on his head with the visor up. Together they cover the front, the side with the star, the back and the helmet as he wears it.
As a full-size 1:1 replica, this helmet is a display and collection object — a shelf, cabinet or desk centrepiece for a Norris or McLaren collection, and a keepsake of the 2026 United States Grand Prix. Its interest is entirely visual: the iridescent silver, the blob swirls, the gold number 1, the Gemini star, its proportions and its display presence.
It joins a long line of Norris helmets in the catalogue: his 2026 season helmet, his 2026 British, Spanish, Monza and Singapore GP specials, the 2025 Miami GP Disco helmet and the 2025 Gold World Champion helmet. The blobs come back from one special to the next — his Singapore caption already read “singapore style meets the blobs” — and in Austin they turn iridescent silver.
For collectors, this one has a story of its own: a design worked out with the team, previewed with an AI app, then painted and masked by hand. In the video Lando says he can’t wait to wear it “this weekend”, and the posts do not say whether it will appear again, so Austin is the one confirmed outing for now.
An iridescent finish changes with the light, so where the helmet stands matters. A spot of direct light, or a place near a window, brings out the rainbow reflections the studio was already picturing “in the sun”; turned three-quarters to the side, the helmet shows its Gemini star.
The United States Grand Prix is round 18 of the 2026 season, at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, with the race on Sunday 25 October 2026. Norris races for McLaren with the number 1. The replica reproduces the livery and design shown in the reveal photos, at real size; visor and interior options are chosen on this page before ordering, with the same configurator as the rest of the catalogue.
On the replica, the iridescent finish is reproduced in paint.
This design is offered as a pre-order. Because it is a just-revealed helmet, the photographs show the original racing helmet for reference; your replica is produced to reproduce that livery and design, and is made to order following your purchase.
