Oscar Piastri 2026 US GP Austin F1 replica helmet
The Oscar Piastri 2026 US GP Austin F1 replica helmet is a full-size 1:1 display and collector replica of Oscar Piastri’s helmet for the 2026 United States Grand Prix in Austin. It appeared on Instagram on 22 October 2026, posted by McLaren together with Intel under a one-line caption: “Launching OP’s US GP lid with @intel”.
The idea is simple to state and dense to look at: the whole helmet is drawn like the magnified surface of a computer chip. Rows of small rectangular blocks and fine circuit lines cover the shell all over, so the pattern is not confined to one panel but runs right around the helmet.
The base is a deep blue, and over it the chip blocks glow in a rainbow of colours: purple and pink on the forehead, orange, yellow and green on the sides, and lime green on the chin. The dark ground is what makes the colours glow: each band of colour stands out sharply against the blue.
The crown is the centrepiece. A square processor, drawn as a chip package with the Intel logo in the middle, sits on top of the helmet, framed by a white ring of rainbow-coloured chip blocks. It is the element that gathers the whole pattern together, and the reason the view from above matters as much as the side view.
Thin white lines run around the shell like circuit traces, outlining the panels. They give the dense pattern its structure: the chip blocks fill each panel, and the white traces mark where one panel ends and the next begins.
At the back of the crown, the number 81 sits in white on black. The back itself carries the OP logo in white, FxPro, a small “B.S” signature and a “Painting Bell Racing” mark, with the Bell Helmets logo on the back as well.
The partner logos are laid out around the pattern. OKX is written in white on the forehead, and a black Monster Energy band runs over the top with its green claw logos. On the visor strip, Jack Daniel’s sits in the centre, with Mastercard on each side and Dropbox at the ends.
Lower down, the chin area carries Quad Lock above the vents, the Android wordmark and robot head on the chin itself, and Etihad on both sides. The visor is a blue mirror, and the Bell Helmets logo also appears on the visor pivots, all on the Bell shell profile seen at the reveal.
The gallery opens with four studio views of the helmet from Intel, McLaren’s official compute partner, shown cut out on a plain background: three-quarters from the front, from the side, from the front and from above. McLaren’s four photos show the helmet in Oscar’s hands, in McLaren team kit: from the front, from the side, from above with the Intel chip and the 81, and from the rear with the OP logo. Together they cover the whole design, including the crown, which a front or side view alone would miss.
As a full-size 1:1 replica, this helmet is a display and collection object — a shelf, cabinet or desk centrepiece for a Piastri or McLaren collection, and a keepsake of the 2026 United States Grand Prix. Its interest is entirely visual: the chip pattern, the rainbow colours on deep blue, the Intel chip on the crown, its proportions and its display presence. The sheer amount of fine detail makes it an intricate, dense design that rewards a close look.
It joins Piastri’s other helmets in the catalogue: his 2026 Singapore GP design, also offered as a pre-order, and his 2025 Australian GP and 2025 Austin GP designs. With the 2025 Austin GP helmet, this makes a second Austin design a year apart; side by side, they follow him from his home race in Australia to the night race at Marina Bay and to two visits to Texas.
For collectors, a technology theme is a different kind of special from a personal tribute or a home-race design: here the whole helmet is built from a chip pattern, down to the processor on the crown. The post presents it as his US GP helmet and does not say whether it will appear again, so Austin is the one confirmed outing for now.
For display, the rainbow colours on dark blue respond well to a dark background and a soft light, which keeps the blue deep and lets the chip blocks stand out. Because the centrepiece sits on the crown, it is worth placing the helmet slightly below eye level, so a view from above shows the Intel chip and its rainbow ring, as in one of the reveal photos.
The United States Grand Prix is round 18 of the 2026 season, at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, with the race on Sunday 25 October 2026. Piastri races for McLaren with the number 81. The replica reproduces the livery and design shown in the official photos, at real size; visor and interior options are chosen on this page before ordering, with the same configurator as the rest of the catalogue.
This design is offered as a pre-order. Because it is a just-revealed helmet, the photographs show the original racing helmet for reference; your replica is produced to reproduce that livery and design, and is made to order following your purchase.
