The craft
Every helmet is built for one specific collector
We do not keep a warehouse of pre-built helmets. Each 123Helmets replica is handcrafted to order — typically 3 to 5 weeks from order confirmation to dispatch. Every piece starts from a full-size helmet shell and is finished with hand-applied livery work that reproduces the original race design.

Nothing leaves the workshop without a final inspection
Every helmet passes a structured visual inspection before it is crated and shipped. If a helmet does not meet our visual standards, it does not leave the workshop.

What we guarantee
Defects, non-conformity and transit damage — handled
If something is wrong with what you receive, we will fix it. Our formal Return & Refund Policy sets out three resolution paths:
Defective or non-conforming itemsIf your helmet is defective or does not match what you ordered, email us at hello@123helmets.com with your order number and clear photos/video. Once confirmed, we offer an appropriate remedy — repair, replacement, partial refund or full refund — depending on the case.
Transport damage, DOA or wrong itemIf your parcel arrives damaged, incomplete or incorrect: photograph the outer box, shipping label, internal packaging and the item(s); keep all packaging; email us promptly. We will guide you through the correct resolution (replacement, refund or carrier claim).
Mandatory consumer rightsNothing in our policies limits the mandatory consumer rights that apply in your country of residence. Where local law grants additional rights, those rights remain unaffected.

Why handcrafted helmets follow a specific rule
Because our replicas are made to the customer’s specifications and clearly personalized (each helmet is hand-painted on demand for a chosen driver, season and race), they are not eligible for cancellation or withdrawal once production has started, except where mandatory consumer law applies. This is consistent with EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(c).
This rule protects the craftsmanship and the dedicated work that goes into your specific helmet. It does not affect your rights regarding defective, non-conforming or damaged items, which remain fully covered as described above.

Important — import charges under DAP: orders are shipped under Incoterms® 2020 DAP (Delivered At Place). The recipient is the importer of record and is responsible for import VAT, customs duties and any carrier clearance/advancement fees at destination. These are not included in the product price. Display-collector commitment
Built to be seen, not ridden
123Helmets replicas are display and collector pieces. They are not personal protective equipment (PPE) and are not certified for protective use.
We are deliberately transparent about what our helmets are — and what they are not. They are built to be admired, photographed and displayed, not worn on a track, a road or a motorcycle. We never claim safety certifications (FIA, Snell, ECE, DOT) because these helmets are not made for that purpose.
This clarity is our promise to collectors: what you see on the product page is what arrives at your door — a museum-grade replica, faithful to the original race livery, built to last as a collection piece for years.

Quick answers
Are 123Helmets replicas real F1 helmets?
No. They are full-size 1:1 display replicas inspired by original Formula 1 liveries. They are not personal protective equipment and are not certified for any protective use (road, track or motorcycling).
Can I return a helmet if I change my mind?
Because each helmet is handcrafted to your order specifications, it qualifies as a custom/personalized item and is not eligible for the standard 14-day withdrawal period under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU Article 16(c)), except where mandatory consumer law in your country requires otherwise. Defects, non-conformity and transport damage remain fully covered.
What if the helmet arrives damaged?
Photograph the outer box, shipping label, internal packaging and the helmet. Keep all packaging. Email us at hello@123helmets.com with your order number and the photos. We will guide you through replacement, refund or carrier claim depending on the case.
Will I pay import duties or VAT at delivery?
Orders are shipped under Incoterms® 2020 DAP. Import VAT, customs duties and carrier clearance fees are payable by the recipient at destination. Prices displayed on the site do not include these charges. Full details: Shipping & Delivery Policy.
How long does production take?
Typically 3 to 5 weeks from order confirmation to dispatch, depending on the helmet design and current workshop queue. Shipping adds 5–10 business days in most destinations.
